Account Deletion Policy

1. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Bano Qabil Jobs account by:

  • Web: Go to Dashboard → Profile and click "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page.
  • Mobile: Go to Profile and tap "Delete Account".

You will be asked to confirm your decision. Once confirmed, the deletion process begins.

2. 30-Day Grace Period

After you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this period:

  • Your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
  • You will be signed out of all devices.
  • Your job applications will be hidden from employers.
  • Your posts and comments will be hidden from the feed.
  • You can cancel the deletion at any time by signing back into your account. Your account and all data will be fully restored.

3. After the Grace Period

If you do not cancel during the 30-day period, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted. This includes:

  • Your profile information (name, bio, avatar, cover photo).
  • Your resume / CV files.
  • Your job applications and saved jobs.
  • Your posts, comments, and reactions.
  • Your messages and conversations.
  • Your follow relationships and endorsements.
  • Your notification history.

Permanent deletion is irreversible. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use the Platform again.

4. Employer Account Owners

If you are the sole owner of an employer account, you must either transfer ownership to another member or delete the employer profile before you can delete your account. This ensures that active job listings and applications are not abruptly removed.

5. Data Retention

After permanent deletion, we may retain anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total user counts, application statistics) that cannot be used to identify you. We may also retain data required by law or for legitimate legal purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
